Established in 1990, Mahatma Gandhi University’s School of Computer Sciences has been a pioneer in offering a PhD program in Computer Science since 1993. Under the visionary leadership of Prof.(Dr.) K.N. Ramachandran Nair, the founder director, the program has become a hallmark of excellence, producing 64 PhD scholars. Governed by university and UGC regulations, the PhD program focuses on major areas of ongoing research, including Image Processing, Data Mining and Analytics, Machine Learning, Soft Computing, Advanced Computing Paradigms, Spatial Databases, and more.
