M.Sc. Computer Science

This is a second level MSc programme admitting only students with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Application.

The admission to MSc  is through the Common Admission Procedure of the University, based on performance in national level entrance examinations conducted by the University.

The duration of the programme is two years (four semesters). The integrated schedule of assignments and lab work demands that students work intensively both in the laboratory and in the library. The scheme of examination and evaluation are as per CSS regulations.

The curriculum provides comprehensive coverage of the discipline. Syllabi are revised periodically and updated so as to keep them in line with changing developments. Syllabi revision are initiated at the department level, which is then placed before the Board Of Studies for further discussion and its approval wherein external experts also take part.

Started in 2012, this programme produced M.Tech graduates spanning six batches. This programme is currently discontinued with effect from 2018.

M.Phil in Computer Science

Eligibility:

Post Graduation (M.Sc/MCA/ MS/M.Tech/ME) in Computer Science/Computer Application with not less than 55% marks.

Selection Process

M Phil admission is done by the School through an Entrance Examination and Interview. Selection is based on the marks obtained in the Qualifying Examination, Entrance Test and Interview in the proportion 50:40:10.

Applied Short-Term Programmes under Directorate for Applied Short-Term Programmes (DASP) http://www.dasp.mgu.ac.in/#/ (2019-20)

Established under Mahatma Gandhi University, the Directorate for Applied Short-term Programmes ventures to develop skilled human resources through short-term applied academic programmes. Structured with a clear vision to enable the takers professionally equipped for tapping employment opportunities and achieving career progression, the DASP, by utilizing the rich instructional and infrastructure resources of the University offering a bunch of applied and specialized programmes. Under DASP, School of Computer Sciences  offered the following programme:

  • Certificate in Internet Programming and Web Technologies (CIPWT) 

    The programme aims to produce skilled and creative professionals in the area of Web technologies, enabling them to begin IT startups or to be absorbed by various organizations and to evolve innovative horizons of Internet Programming. 

    Eligibility: Candidates passed Higher secondary (10 + 2) in any subject group/ Diploma awarded from DTE/KGST/NCVT are eligible to apply. Ongoing Under Graduate and Post Graduate students, employees and all the aspirants of knowledge can join the programme.
